MaxFlex is designed to be used for interior or exterior moulding and trim applications. It has the appearance of wood, yet offers fast and simple installation at a fraction of the cost of wood radius mouldings. It can be cut, sanded and nailed like wood without cracking, splitting or deterioration associated with real wood.

We recommend that the flexible mouldings be removed from the shipping cartons, unrolled and allowed to adjust to room temperatures before installation. Lay the mouldings on a flat surface to assist in attaining their original shape and form. This will result in a much easier installation.

MaxFlex can be cut, sanded, and nailed just like wood. Construction, panel adhesive or mastic type glue should be applied continuously on the back of the moulding and nails used to secure it until the adhesive bonds.

Mouldings can be nailed with a nail gun and requires no pre-drilling. When fastening with screws it is recommended that holes be pre-drilled. Fill all nail or screw holes with a filler that adheres to oil based products.

Prior to finishing, clean the product with soap and water or a mild solvent to remove any dirt or grease that might have accumulated during installation.

When painting, apply a latex primer followed by a latex enamel or oil based paint for the finish coat. When left in direct sunlight for an extended period of time before painting or staining, moulding may turn to a slight yellowish color. This will not affect the quality of the moulding and will not show after painted or stained.

When staining, a latex primer is recommended to insure consistency in color. Use gel stain or solid stain to match your other wood mouldings to the desired appearance.

Always install moulding before painting or staining to prevent cracking the finish.
